MobyMax is a versatile platform that offers several features to help administrators and teachers manage student accounts efficiently. One such feature is the ability to transfer students between teachers, which can be done with just a few simple steps. 

When transferring a student, the system removes the student from one teacher's roster and places them in another teacher's roster, allowing the new teacher to access the student's progress data, performance metrics, and other relevant information. This feature is particularly helpful when students switch classes or when a teacher leaves the school and a new teacher takes over the class. 


School Administrators can transfer students to another teacher by:

  1. Sign in to your MobyMax school administrator account.
  2. Select the "Students" link under the "Admin Tools" header. 
    • Note: You may first need to select the arrow to the right of the "MobyMax Central for Teachers" link at the top of the page and select the "School Admins" option.
  3. Click the “Transfer/Promote students" link.
    • If you are transferring your student(s) to another school in your district, select the school from the drop-down menu.
  4. Check the box(es) next to the student(s) you would like to transfer.
  5. Select the teacher to receive the students. 
    • If you are transferring a single grade of students and would like to promote them to the next grade level, select the grade level you would like to promote the students to in the "To Grade" drop-down menu.
  6. Click the “Transfer Students” button.


The students have now been transferred to the selected teacher's roster.

District Administrators can transfer students to another teacher by:

  1. Sign in to your MobyMax district administrator account.
  2. Select the "Students" button.
  3. Click the "Share students" link at the top of the page.
  4. Click the “Transfer/Promote students" link.
    • If you are transferring your student(s) to another school in your district, select the school from the drop-down menu.
  5. Check the box(es) next to the student(s) you would like to transfer.
  6. Select the teacher to receive the students.
    • If you are transferring a single grade of students and would like to promote them to the next grade level, select the grade level you would like to promote the students to in the "To Grade" drop-down menu.
  7. Click the “Transfer Students” button.


The students have now been transferred to the selected teacher's roster.

  5. Select the teacher to receive the students.
    • If you are transferring a single grade of students and would like to promote them to the next grade level, select the grade level you would like to promote the students to in the "To Grade" drop-down menu.
  6. Click the “Transfer Students” button.
