Whiteboard Activities allow you to engage every student in your classroom! This module assists teachers in easily developing and presenting content to their entire class for an interactive, whole-class experience. MobyMax's Whiteboard Activities foster active classroom learning and encourage group participation.

Teachers can easily create whiteboard lessons using any problem from Moby’s K-8 curriculum, create their own problems or select existing problems created by our shared community.

How to create a Whiteboard Activity using problems from MobyMax:

  1. Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
  2. Select the "Curriculum" tab at the top of the page.
  3. Click a subject module (i.e. Mathematics, Language, etc...).
  4. Select the "Assign" tab from the top of the page.
  5. Click "Show Whiteboard Lesson" under "Whole Class" from the left sidebar.
  6. Select the "Create New Lesson" button.
  7. Choose the “Create a new lesson” radio button and click “Next."
  8. Select the subject, grade-level, and enter a title for your lesson.
  9. Choose the "Add New Problem" option.
  10. Select the "Select problem from MobyMax curriculum" radio button and click "Next."
  11. Use the tabs at the top of the menu to select the subject you want to add problems from.
    • Grade levels can be selected by clicking on the arrow buttons.
    • The "Show Standards" button can be selected to change your view to standards instead of skills.
    • The search bar can be used to search key terms and phrases.
  12. Click the "Add" button to include the question in your whiteboard activity.
  13. Select the “Save" button.


How to create a Whiteboard Activity with your own problems:

  1. Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
  2. Select the "Curriculum" tab at the top of the page.
  3. Click a subject module (i.e. Mathematics, Language, etc...).
  4. Select the "Assign" tab from the top of the page.
  5. Click "Show Whiteboard Lesson" under "Whole Class" from the left sidebar.
  6. Select the "Create New Lesson" button.
  7. Choose the “Create a new lesson” radio button and click “Next."
  8. Click the radio button for "Create new problem" and click "Next."
  9. Write the problem text. (You can add an image by clicking the "Attach" link.)
  10. Select the radio button for “Multiple choice” or “Fill in the blank.”
  11. Fill in your answer choices. (Be sure to select a correct answer for multiple-choice questions.)
  12. Click the “Save" button.

How to create a Whiteboard Activity using problems from our shared community:

  1. Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
  2. Select the "Curriculum" tab at the top of the page.
  3. Click a subject module (i.e. Mathematics, Language, etc...).

    • The "View" link allows you to view the problems in a selected lesson.
    • The "Clone" link allows you to clone the lesson to your own account.
  9. Click "Clone" on any lesson you wish to copy.
  10. Select the "Problems" tab to add or remove problems from the lesson.
  11. Click the "Save" button.
