MobyMax will automatically assign lessons to students based on any skill gaps identified during the initial placement test. If students have been started at a grade level instead of taking the placement test, lessons will be assigned in the default sequence for that grade level.

Teachers have the option to disable automatically assigned skills if they would like. This can be especially helpful for teachers who want to only assign skills manually to their students without additional skills being automatically assigned by Moby.

To turn off automatically assigned skills for your students:
  1. Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
  2. Select the “Curriculum” tab at the top of the page.
  3. Click on the “Mathematics” button.
  4. Select the "Assign" tab at the top of the page.
  5. Click on the “Manage Auto-Assign” link on the left sidebar under the "Adaptive Learning" header.
  6. Toggle the switch next to “Automatically assign skills” to the left and the button will turn grey.

Note: Skills that have already been automatically assigned will remain in the student’s lesson sequence unless they are removed from the sequence, or you delete the student’s placement test.
