Announcements & Tasks offer a whole new way to participate in class! This feature is the perfect tool for enhancing communication and collaboration among teachers and students alike. Teachers can easily post messages, create assignments, schedule events, and even poll students on questions. This feature enables teachers to engage their students in meaningful ways, fostering a positive learning environment.

Students can benefit from this feature by commenting on posts and downloading class materials that teachers have uploaded. 

To create a new Announcement:

  1. Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
  2. Select the "Tools" tab at the top of the page.
  3. Click on the "Announcements & Tasks" button under the "Communicate" header.
  4. Select the "Announcements" tab at the top of the page.
  5. Click on the "Create Announcement" button.
  6. Enter your announcement details in the box.
  7. Adjust any comment and group options as needed.
  8. Click on the "Post Announcement" button.


Note: To review an existing post, simply click on the pencil icon to the left of the Announcement title.


To create a new Task:

  1. Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
  2. Select the "Tools" tab at the top of the page.
  3. Click on the "Announcements & Tasks" button under the "Communicate" header.
  4. If not selected by default, click on the "Tasks" tab at the top of the page.
  5. Select the "Create Task" button.
  6. Enter a title and the details of your task in the top two boxes.
  7. Specify the Due Date for the task.
  8. Adjust any comment and group options as needed.
  9. Click on the "Post Announcement" button.


Note: To review an existing post, simply click on the pencil icon to the left of the Task title.

To create a new Event:

  1. Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
  2. Select the "Tools" tab at the top of the page.
  3. Click on the "Announcements & Tasks" button under the "Communicate" header.
  4. Select the "Events" tab at the top of the page.
  5. Click on the "Create Event" button.
  6. Enter a title and the details of your task in the top two boxes.
  7. Specify a Start Date and End Date for the event to be visible.
  8. Adjust any comment and group options as needed.
  9. Click on the "Post Event" button.


Note: To review an existing post, simply click on the pencil icon to the left of the Event title.


To create a new Poll:

  1. Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
  2. Select the "Tools" tab at the top of the page.
  3. Click on the "Announcements & Tasks" button under the "Communicate" header.
  4. Select the "Poll" tab at the top of the page.
  5. Click on the "Create Poll" button.
  6. Add your poll question to the box at the top of the page.
  7. Use the boxes below to fill out poll choices.
  8. Select the "Correct Answer" link for an answer selection if this is applicable to your poll.
  9. The "Add another choice" link can be selected to add additional lines for choice selections.
  10. Adjust any comment and group options as needed.
  11. Click on the "Post Poll" button.


Note: To review an existing post, simply click on the pencil icon to the left of the Poll title. 


Students can access any post teachers have created through Announcements & Tasks by selecting the Communication tab at the top of the page. From there, students simply click on the "Announcements & Tasks" button to see any relevant posts from their teachers.
