1. Click the “Curriculum” tab.
  2. Click “Mathematics.”
  3. Click “Assign.”
  4. Click “Assign Skills” located on the left side of the page.
  5. Select what you would like to do:

                    A. Select and assign MobyMax practice skills.

                    B. Select and assign teacher-made practice skills.

                    C. Create and assign your own practice skill.

For (A)

  1. Click the radio button next to “Select and assign MobyMax practice skills…..”
  2. Click “Next.”
  3. Choose a grade level with the drop-down menu or click the “>” to the left of the grade level to view the skills.
  4. Click the box to the left of the skill.
  5. Click “Next.”
  6. Click the box to the left of the student(s) name(s).
  7. Click “Next.”
  8. Enter the assignment name.
  9. Enter the due date and start date.  (This is optional.”
  10. Click the radio button next to the option to have the assignment show or now show on the assignments page.
  11. Choose where the assignment should be placed in the list of student assignments.
  12. Click “Assign.”


For (B)

  1. Click the radio button next to “Select and assign teacher-made practice skills.”
  2. Click “Next.”
  3. Click the drop-down menu to choose grade.
  4. Click the drop-down menu to choose the shared skills.
  5. Check the box next to the skills.
  6. Click “Next.”
  7. Check the box next to the student(s) name(s).
  8. Click “Next.”
  9. Enter Due Date and Start date. (Optional)
  10. Click the radio button next to the option to have the assignment show or now show on the assignments page.
  11. Choose where the assignment should be placed in the list of student assignments.
  12. Click “Assign.”


For (C)

  1. Click the radio button next to “Create and assign your own practice skill by selecting from MobyMax or teacher-made practice skills.  You can create your own problems.”
  2. Click “Next.”
  3. Click either “ADD PROBLEMS FROM MOBYMAX,” “ADD PROBLEMS FROM TEACHER-MADE SKILLS,” or “CREATE NEW PROBLEM.”


Steps for “Add Problems From MobyMax.”

  1. Use the drop-down menu to choose a grade level or click the “>” to expand the grade level to show the skills.
  2. Click “>” to expand the skill.
  3. Click on the box to the left of the skill you want to assign.
  4. Click “Assign.”
  5. Check the box next to the student’s name that you want to receive the lesson, or click “Student” at the top to choose all students.
  6. Click “Next.”
  7. Enter the Assignment name.
  8. You are provided with the option to enter the due date and start date.
  9. Click the radio button next to the option whether you want the assignment to either show on or not show on the assignment page.
  10. Choose the radio button next to “Bottom” or “Top” to communicate to Moby whether the assignment should be listed at the top or bottom of the assignments.
  11. Click “Assign.”


Steps for “Add Problems From Teacher-Made Skills”

  1. You can search for a skill title in the search box, choose a grade level with the drop-down menu, or the type of shared skill.
  2. Click the radio button to the left of the skill.
  3. Click “Next.”
  4. Click the box next to the student(s) name(s).  Clicking the top box will choose all the students.
  5. Name the Assignment.
  6. Enter a due date.  (Optional)
  7. When you want the assignment to appear.
  8. Where you want the assignment to appear.
  9. Whether the assignment should be at the top or bottom.
  10. Click “Assign.”


Steps for “Create New Problem.”

  1. Select Problem type; Multiple Choice or Fill in the Blank.
  2. For Multiple Choice, fill in the question and answers.
  3. For Fill in the Blank enter question and possible answers.
  4. Once the questions are finished, click “Add Problem to Skill.”
