MobyMax automatically assigns lessons based on the standards missed on the adaptive placement test.
- After signing in to your teacher account, click "Mathematics" in the left sidebar.
- Click the “Mathematics” button.
- Click the "Lessons" tab.
- Click the “Assign” tab.
- Click the student’s name, a group name, or “Entire Class."
- Click the grade level.
- Check the box(es) next to the lesson(s) you wish to assign.
- Click the "Assign" button.
- Enter a name, start date or end date (optional), if it is to show on the student's "Assignments" tab, and where in the assignments list it should go (top or bottom).
- Click “Continue."
You can change the sequence later by clicking the “Assignments" tab.
- Click the “Curriculum” tab.
- Click “Mathematics.”
- Click “Assign.”
- Click “Assign Skills” located on the left side of the page.
Select what you would like to do:
- Select and assign from MobyMax Curriculum.
- Select and assign from Skills created by Teachers.
- Create and assign your own practice skill.
For (A)
- Click the radio button next to “MobyMax Curriculum.”
- Click “Next.”
- Choose a grade level with the drop-down menu or click the “>” to the left of the grade level to view the skills.
- Click the box to the left of the skill.
- Click “Next.”
- Click the box to the left of the student(s) name(s).
- Click “Next.”
- Enter the assignment name.
- Enter the due date and start date. (Optional)
- Click the radio button next to the option to show right now, schedule the assignment for a future date, or not show and leave unscheduled.
- Choose where the assignment should be placed in the list of student assignments.
- Click “Assign.”
For (B)
- Click the radio button next to “Skills created by teachers”
- Click “Next.”
- Click the drop-down menu to choose a grade.
- Click the drop-down menu to choose the shared skills.
- Check the box next to the skills.
- Click “Next.”
- Check the box next to the student(s) name(s).
- Click “Next.”
- Enter Due Date and Start date. (Optional)
- Click the radio button next to the option to show right now, schedule the assignment for a future date, or not show and leave unscheduled.
- Choose where the assignment should be placed in the list of student assignments.
- Click “Assign.”
For (C)
- Click the radio button next to “Create your own skills."
- Click “Next.”
- Click either “MobyMax Curriculum,” “Skills created by teachers,” or “Create your own skills.”
Steps for “MobyMax Curriculum”
- Use the drop-down menu to choose a grade level or click the “>” to expand the grade level to show the skills.
- Click “>” to expand the skill until you see problems to select from.
- Click the radio buttons for the problems you would like to add.
- Click “Add Selected Problems."
- You can add more problems, or continue with the selected problems.
- When all problems have been selected, click "Next."
- Check the box next to the student’s name that you want to receive the lesson, or click “Student” at the top to choose all students.
- Click “Next.”
- Enter the Assignment name.
- Enter a due date (optional).
- Click the radio button next to the option to show right now, schedule the assignment for a future date, or not show and leave unscheduled.
- Choose the radio button next to “Bottom” or “Top” to communicate to Moby whether the assignment should be listed at the top or bottom of the assignments.
- Click “Assign.”
Steps for “Skills created by Teachers”
- You can search for a skill title in the search box, choose a grade level with the drop-down menu, or the type of shared skill.
- Click the check box to the left of the skill.
- Click “Next.”
- Check the box next to the student’s name that you want to receive the lesson, or click “Student” at the top to choose all students.
- Enter the Assignment name.
- Enter a due date (optional).
- Click the radio button next to the option to show right now, schedule the assignment for a future date, or not show and leave unscheduled.
- Choose the radio button next to “Bottom” or “Top” to communicate to Moby whether the assignment should be listed at the top or bottom of the assignments.
- Click “Assign.”
Steps for “Create your own skills.”
- Select whether to "Add Problems from MobyMax", "Add Problems from Teacher-made Skills" or "Create New Problem".
- For "Add Problems from MobyMax" and "Add Problems from Teacher-made Skills", Click “>” to expand the skill until you see problems to select from.
- For "Create new Problem", select either "Multiple Choice" or "Fill in the Blank" question type.
- For Multiple Choice, enter the question and corresponding answer selections and Click "Add Problem to Skill."
- For Fill in the Blank, enter question and possible answer(s) and click "Add Problem to Skill."
- Once all problems are selected, click "Next."
- Check the box next to the student’s name that you want to receive the lesson, or click “Student” at the top to choose all students.
- Enter the Assignment name.
- Enter a due date (optional).
- Click the radio button next to the option to show right now, schedule the assignment for a future date, or not show and leave unscheduled.
- Choose the radio button next to “Bottom” or “Top” to communicate to Moby whether the assignment should be listed at the top or bottom of the assignments.
- Click "Next."
- Select a grade level for your custom skill, and select "Don't Share", "Share with all teachers", "Share within my School", or "Share with my District" for sharing options.
- Click "Assign."
