MobyMax makes it easy for teachers to assign, create, and manage practice skills tailored to their students’ needs. Whether you want to use MobyMax’s built-in curriculum, leverage skills created by other teachers, or design your own from scratch, the platform provides flexible tools to support core instruction, intervention, and enrichment.

Before assigning, teachers can preview the scope and sequence by grade level. Once assigned, student progress can be monitored with detailed tracking tools.


Assign MobyMax Curriculum Skills

  1. Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.

  2. Click the Curriculum tab.

  3. Select a subject area (e.g., Math, Language, etc.).

  4. Click the Assign tab.

  5. Choose Assign Skills from the left-hand menu.

  6. Select MobyMax Curriculum, then click Next.

  7. Use the grade level drop-down menu or expand a grade using the arrow to view skills.

  8. Check the boxes next to the skill(s) you want to assign, then click Next.

  9. Check the boxes next to the student(s) you want to assign the skills to, then click Next.

  10. Enter an assignment name.

  11. (Optional) Set a due date and/or start date.

  12. Choose whether to show the assignment now, schedule it, or leave it unscheduled.

  13. Choose where to place it in the student's assignment list.

  14. Click Assign.


Assign Teacher-Created Skills

  1. Follow steps 1–5 above.

  2. Select Skills Created by Teachers, then click Next.

  3. Use the search bar or filters to locate shared skills.

  4. Check the boxes next to the skill(s) to assign, then click Next.

  5. Select the student(s), then click Next.

  6. (Optional) Set a due date and/or start date.

  7. Choose whether to show the assignment now, schedule it, or leave it unscheduled.

  8. Choose where to place it in the student's assignment list.

  9. Click Assign.


Create and Assign Your Own Skills

  1. Follow steps 1–5 above.

  2. Select Create Your Own Skills, then click Next.

  3. Choose whether to add problems from MobyMax, teacher-created skills, or create new ones.

  4. To add problems from existing sources:
     a. Expand the grade and domain levels.
     b. Select problems using the radio buttons, then click Add Selected Problems.

  5. To create a new problem:
     a. Choose a problem type.
     b. Enter the question and answer(s), then click Add Problem to Skill.

  6. After adding all problems, click Next.

  7. Select the student(s) to assign the skill to, then click Next.

  8. Enter an assignment name and (optional) set dates.

  9. Click Next.

  10. Select a grade level and update sharing preferences.

  11. Click Assign.


Note: You can reorder or delete assigned skills at any time to adjust your instructional plan. This ensures students always work on the most relevant content.
