Time spent shows the amount of time students spend doing focused work on the program. It calculates the amount of time students spend working on questions, with each question capped at two minutes.

For example, if a student spends 50 seconds on one problem and 120 seconds on a second problem, the Time spent is 170 seconds (50 + 120). On the report, this would round up to three minutes.

If a student is taking much longer than two minutes on each problem, this will be reflected in the Focus %. Take for example a student who spent a lot of time daydreaming and logged into Moby for 30 minutes. The student’s Time Spent might be only 10 minutes, reflecting the time actually spent on solving problems, and the Focus % only 25%.
