MobyMax understands the importance of allowing teachers to tailor the learning experience for their students. To provide maximum customization, the Writing Assignments module includes the option for teachers to create their own rubrics. These rubrics can be personalized to include any grading criteria that the teacher deems appropriate. Teachers can easily access this option and many more by selecting the "Writing Assignments" button in their accounts.
To create your own customized Writing Assignments rubric:
To create your own customized Writing Assignments rubric:
- Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
- Select the "Curriculum" tab at the top of the page.
- Click on the “Writing Assignments" button.
- Select the "Create New Assignment” button at the bottom of the page.
- Provide a title for your assignment, a due date, and a description that students will see of the assignment.
- Place a checkmark to the left of any student name that you would like to receive the assignment.
- Click on the "Next" button.
- Choose the "I want to use a rubric to assign a grade" option on the pop-up menu.
- Click the “Next" button.
- Select the “Create New Rubric” button.
- Provide a title for your rubric and choose to have it visible to your class, school, district, or entire state.
- Choose the appropriate grade level and scoring items using the drop-down menus to make your selections.
- Select the “Add New Rubric Item” for each item you wish to add.
- Click the “Save” button.
To edit or add rubrics to any of your existing assignments:
- Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
- Select the "Curriculum" tab at the top of the page.

- Select the "Assignments" tab at the top of the page.
- Click the gear icon to the left of the assignment rubric you wish to edit.
- Select the "Change Rubric" button.
- To add a rubric: Select the “Create New Rubric” button.
- To edit a rubric: Click on the pencil icon that appears in the “Edit" column of the rubric.
- Click the “Save” button after making any changes.

- Click on the “Writing Assignments" button.
- Select the "Create New Assignment” button at the bottom of the page.
- Provide a title for your assignment, a due date, and a description that students will see of the assignment.
