MobyMax's Writing Assignments module provides a comprehensive system for submitting, revising, and grading writing assignments that can save you hours each week. Rather than manually creating and grading assignments, you can use pre-made rubrics or create your own customized rubrics that are tailored to your student's specific needs.
To create a new assignment in the Writing Assignments module:
- Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
- Select the "Curriculum" tab at the top of the page.
- Click on the “Writing Assignments" button.
- Select the "Create New Assignment” button at the bottom of the page.
- Provide a title for your assignment, a due date, and a description that students will see of the assignment.
- Check the boxes to the left of any student name(s) that you would like to receive the assignment.
- Click on the "Next" button.
- Choose "I just want to assign a grade" or "I want to use a rubric to assign a grade" on the pop-up menu.
- Click the "Save" button if just assigning a grade, or "Next" if selecting a rubric.
- If selecting the rubric option, please choose one of the following:
- Use the tabs to search for a Rubric you would like to choose, then click "Save."
- Click the "Create New Rubric" button to duplicate a Rubric or create your own. Enter the information and criteria for your Rubric, then click "Save."
- Use the tabs to search for a Rubric you would like to choose, then click "Save."

To create a new assignment in the Writing Assignments module:
- Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
- Select the "ELA" link on the left sidebar under the "Subjects" header.
- Click on the “Writing Assignments" button.
- Select the "Create New Assignment” button at the bottom of the page.
- Provide a title for your assignment, a due date, and a description that students will see of the assignment.
- Check the boxes to the left of any student name(s) that you would like to receive the assignment.
- Click on the "Next" button.
- Choose "I just want to assign a grade" or "I want to use a rubric to assign a grade" on the pop-up menu.
- Click the "Save" button if just assigning a grade, or "Next" if selecting a rubric.
- If selecting the rubric option, please choose one of the following:
