MobyMax's Writing Assignments module streamlines the process of submitting, revising, and grading assignments, saving teachers valuable time. Instead of manually creating and grading assignments, teachers can utilize pre-made rubrics or customize their own to align with students’ specific learning needs.
How to Create a Writing Assignment
- Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
- Click the "Curriculum" tab at the top of the page.
- Select "Writing Assignments."
- Click the "Create New Assignment" button at the bottom of the page.
- Enter the assignment details, including:
- Title of the assignment
- Due date
- Description (visible to students)
- Select students by checking the boxes next to their names.
- Click "Next."
- On the pop-up menu, choose one of the following grading options:
- "I just want to assign a grade"
- "I want to use a rubric to assign a grade"
- Click "Save" if assigning a grade without a rubric, or "Next" if using a rubric.
- If using a rubric, select one of the following options:
- Use a pre-made rubric by searching through the available tabs and clicking "Save."
- Create a custom rubric by clicking "Create New Rubric," entering the rubric details, and clicking "Save."

- Select the "ELA" link from the left sidebar under the "Subjects" header.
- Click "Writing Assignments."
- Click "Create New Assignment" at the bottom of the page.
- Enter assignment details, including:
- Title
- Due date
- Description (visible to students)
- Select students by checking the boxes next to their names.
- Click "Next."
- On the pop-up menu, select a grading option:
- "I just want to assign a grade."
- "I want to use a rubric to assign a grade."
- Click "Save" if assigning a grade without a rubric, or "Next" if selecting a rubric.
- If using a rubric, choose one of the following:
