MobyMax contests are a fun way to motivate students—and teachers have flexibility in how points are awarded! There are two types of contest points:
Raw Points
Raw points are calculated based on the number of correct answers in passed skills. Most subjects award 1 point per correct answer, but some subjects use different methods:
Fact Fluency: Points are based on fluency speed and accuracy.
Early Reading Trio: Points are calculated differently due to skill structure.
Science & Social Studies: Points are awarded only for quiz questions.
Weighted Points
Teachers can assign weighted values to individual students to level the playing field and promote fair competition. For example:
A student with a weight of 2.00 will earn 2 points per correct answer instead of 1.
Weighted points are fully customizable and optional.
