Maxoids are short, engaging 15-second science-themed videos designed to spark curiosity and reward students with fascinating facts. These animated clips highlight exciting science topics in a fun and memorable way—making them a perfect motivational bonus for hard-working students.
Teachers can assign Maxoids as rewards through the Reward Students module in their MobyMax teacher account. While Maxoids are not tied to any specific subject module, they serve as a science-based incentive that students can enjoy outside of their regular lessons.
How to Assign Maxoids
New Moby:
Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
Click the “Tools” tab at the top of the page.
Under the Engage section, select “Reward Students.”
Check the box next to the student(s) you want to reward.
Click “Pick Rewards for Selected Students.”
From the dropdown, choose “Maxoid” as the reward type.
(Optional) Add a custom message your student will see when the Maxoid is awarded.
Click “Award Students.”
Classic Moby:
Sign in to your teacher account.
Click “Engagement” in the left-hand sidebar under the Tools section.
Select “Reward Students.”
Check the box for the student(s) you’d like to reward.
Click “Pick Rewards for Selected Students.”
Choose “Maxoid” from the reward dropdown menu.
Add a personal message (optional).
Click “Award Students.”
