MobyMax offers a module called Assigned Daily Time, which enables teachers to set and monitor the amount of time students spend on specific subjects each day. This feature is now organized into two distinct tabs: Classroom Time and Home Time. These separate tabs allow teachers to track and manage the time students dedicate to their studies during class hours and at home. By using Assigned Daily Time, teachers can ensure students are consistently engaging with their learning materials, fostering better study habits, and improving academic performance.
To Adjust Assigned Daily Time For Classroom Hours:
- Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
- Click on the "Assigned Daily Time" link in the Quick Access menu.
- Select the "Assign Time" button at the top of the page.
- Click the "Next" button to proceed.
- Check the box next to any subject module(s) you want to adjust assigned classroom time for.
- Click "Next" again.
- Choose the option "Default assigned time for the entire classroom" to update time for all students or use the "Select students" button to select and customize time for specific students.
- Click "Next" to continue.
- Enter the desired number of minutes students should practice in the selected module(s) under the "Assigned Time for Selected Modules" header.
- Click "Finish" to save your changes.
To Adjust Assigned Daily Time For Home Hours:
- Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
- Click on the "Assigned Daily Time" link in the Quick Access menu.
- Select the "Home Time" tab at the top of the page.
- Click on the "Assign Time" button.
- Select the "Next" button to proceed.
- Check the box next to any subject module(s) you want to adjust assigned home time for.
- Click "Next" again.
- Choose the option "Default assigned time for the entire classroom" to update time for all students or use the "Select students" button to select and customize time for specific students.
- Click "Next" to continue.
- Enter the desired number of minutes students should practice in the selected module(s) under the "Assigned Time for Selected Modules" header.
- Click "Finish" to save your changes.
Note: We recommend a minimum of 12 minutes per day for consistent learning. The module will show on the student's Assignment tab when you enter one or more minutes.
Assigned time can be modified at any time by repeating the steps above, or by clicking on the name of a student while on the "Assigned Time" tab and then selecting the subject.
The student lab shows the minutes slightly different than the time showed in the teacher reports due to different rounding methods. The teachers report show the usual rounding that goes up and down. However, the student lab only rounds down so that a student with an assigned time of 10 minutes, doesn't stop working when there are 9 minutes and 31 seconds.

To update assigned time for students in a subject:
- Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
- Click the "Settings" link on the left sidebar under the "Teacher Admin" header.
- Under "Default Assigned Time," click the "Assign time for all modules" link.
- Add, change, or remove times for the subject(s) you want to update.
- Click the "Save and Exit" button
Note: If you do not want any time to be assigned to a subject, leave this field blank. If you enter 0 minutes in the “Assign Time” field, the subject will still show on the assignments tab without any assigned time.
Assigned Time can also be updated for individual subjects.
