MobyMax provides a module called "Assigned Time" that enables teachers to set the amount of time they want their students to spend on a particular subject daily. This module is designed to help teachers track the amount of time students spend on specific subjects and ensure that they are working on each subject consistently. By setting assigned time, teachers can ensure that students are dedicating adequate time to each subject and develop consistent study habits that can improve their academic performance.
To update assigned time for students in a subject:
- Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
- Click on the "Assigned Time" link on the Quick Access menu.
- Select the "Assign Time" button at the top of the page.
- Place a checkmark in the empty box next to "Module" to select all subjects.
- Click on the "Next" button.
- Select the radio button for "Entire classroom" to set assigned time for all students, or choose the "Select Students" option to select specific students you want to update assigned time for.
- In the "Assign number of minutes" box, enter in the amount of minutes that students should work in all subjects.
- Click on the "Finish" button.
Note: We recommend a minimum of 12 minutes per day for consistent learning. The module will show on the student's Assignment tab when you enter one or more minutes.
Assigned time can be modified at any time by clicking on the "Manage Assigned Time" link while in the module.
The student lab shows the minutes slightly different than the time showed in the teacher reports due to different rounding methods. The teachers report show the usual rounding that goes up and down. However, the student lab only rounds down so that a student with an assigned time of 10 minutes, doesn't stop working when there are 9 minutes and 31 seconds.
Assigned Time can also be updated for individual subjects.

- Click the "Settings" link on the left sidebar under the "Teacher Admin" header.
- Under "Default Assigned Time," click the "Assign time for all modules" link.
- Add, change, or remove times for the subject(s) you want to update.
- Click the "Save and Exit" button
Note: If you do not want any time to be assigned to a subject, leave this field blank. If you enter 0 minutes in the “Assign Time” field, the subject will still show on the assignments tab without any assigned time.
Assigned Time can also be updated for individual subjects.
