Reading Level Assessments do not need to be assigned by teachers. When a student signs in, they can simply select the "Reading Level Assessments" button in their account to begin an assessment at their registered grade level. MobyMax also provides the flexibility for you to adjust the starting grade level for students in Reading Level Assessments as needed.

To change the starting grade level of Reading Level Assessments for your students:

  1. Sign in to your MobyMax teacher or school administrator account.
  2. Click on the "Settings" link in the left sidebar.
  3. Select the "Individual Student Settings" tab.
  4. Click directly on the name of a student whose settings you'd like to modify.
  5. Select the "Modules" tab at the top of the menu.
  6. Click on "ELA" in the left sidebar.
  7. Select the "Assessments" option.
  8. Click on "Reading Level Assessment".
  9. Select "Restart" if there is no option to set the starting grade level. 
    • Note: This will erase all previous attempted Reading Level Assessments for that student.
  10. Set the "Starting Grade Level" as desired.
  11. Click "Save".
  12. Click the arrow at the top of the page to move on to the next student.
