You don’t need to download any special software to use sound in MobyMax. However, some users may experience audio issues caused by school or district firewalls blocking necessary resources.
If you're encountering problems with sound, please have your IT professional follow the steps below to ensure audio functionality.
Domains to Whitelist
Add the following domains to your school's safe/allowed list:
- mobycentral.mobymax.com
- *.mobymax.com
- *.ably.io
- *.ably-realtime.com
- za-web.mobymax.com
- *.realtime.co
- *.clever.com (if using Clever)
- *.classlink.com (if using ClassLink)
- classroom.googleapis.com (if using Google Classroom SSO)
- mobymax.freshdesk.com
- *.schoolsponsorship.com
- api.mapbox.com
- *.google.com
- *.gstatic.com
Also ensure the .mp3 file type is added to your district's safe list so sound files can be played correctly.
Test Audio Playback
To verify that sound is working, visit the following test link:
data.mobymax.com/mm/audio/Screens/PMPlacementWelcome.mp3
If the audio plays, sound is successfully enabled on your network.
Where Is Sound Available in MobyMax?
Many MobyMax modules include built-in read-aloud features. We recommend reviewing the read-aloud availability list to learn which subjects and grade levels use audio playback.
