MobyMax Quizzes offer an exciting alternative among the many tests and assessments available to teachers. These quizzes can be assigned to students and enable teachers to select skills from the MobyMax curriculum or incorporate skills developed by teachers in your school, district, or state. Additionally, teachers can create their own custom skills for their quizzes. This option is currently only available for teachers using the New version of MobyMax, teachers utilizing the Classic version can still access our helpful MobyMax Tests.

To assign a MobyMax Quiz to your students:

  1. Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
  2. Click the “Curriculum” tab at the top of the page.
  3. Click the subject button (i.e. Math, Language, etc...). 
  4. Click the “Assign” tab.
  5. Click “Assign Quiz” in the left sidebar.
  6. Select what type of Quiz you would like to assign:
    • (A) Select and Assign from MobyMax Curriculum
    • (B) Select and Assign from Skills created by Teachers
    • (C) Create and Assign your own Skills to Quiz


For (A) MobyMax Curriculum:   

  1. Choose a grade level, search for a skill name, or click “>” next to a grade level to expand the list of skills.
  2. Check the box next to any skill you’d like to quiz and click “Next.”
  3. Check the box(es) next to the student(s) to whom you would like to assign the quiz and click “Next.”
  4. Select the number of problems from each skill for the quiz.
  5. Check whether you would like the correct answer as feedback for your student, and click "Next." 
  6. Name the quiz.
  7. Set options for how you’d like the quiz to be displayed if you wish.
  8. Click “Assign.”


Note: MobyMax Skills assigned and mastered through a MobyMax Quiz will update student progress in that subject area.

For (B) Skills created by Teachers: 

  1. Click the radio button next to “Skills created by teachers” and click “Next”.  
  2. Check the box(es) next to the quiz(zes) you would like to assign to your student(s), and click "Next."
    • To assign quizzes created by other teachers, use the "Shared Quizzes" dropdown to view shared quizzes.
  3. Check the box(es) next to the student(s) to whom you would like to assign the quiz and click “Next.”
  4. Check whether you would like the correct answer as feedback for your student, and click "Next."
  5. Name the quiz.  
  6. Set options for how you’d like the quiz to be displayed if you wish. 
  7. Click "Assign."


 For (C) Create and Assign your own Skills to Quiz:

  1. Choose “Add Problems From MobyMax,” “Add Problems From Teacher-Made Quizzes,” or “Create New Problem”.
  2. Follow the prompts within your chosen section to add problems.
  3. Check the box(es) next to the student(s) to whom you would like to assign the quiz and click “Next.”
  4. Check whether you would like the correct answer as feedback for your student, and click "Next."
  5. Name the quiz.
  6. Set options for how you’d like the quiz to be displayed, if you wish, and click “Next.”
  7. Set the grade level for the quiz.
  8. Use the “Sharing” menu to set whether you’d like to share your quiz with other teachers.
  9. Click the “Assign” button.
