MobyMax provides a streamlined process to transfer students between teachers, ensuring that all performance data and progress records remain intact. This is especially helpful when:
- A student moves to a new classroom
- A new teacher takes over an existing roster
- Students are promoted to the next grade level
Transferring Students as a School Administrator
Sign in to your MobyMax school administrator account.
Click “Students Roster” in the left navigation menu.
If needed, click the arrow next to “Moby for Teachers” and select “School Admins.”
Click “Manage Roster” at the top of the menu.
Select “Transfer Students to Other Teachers.”
(Optional) Use the school drop-down menu to transfer students to another school in your district.
In the left column, check the student(s) you want to transfer.
In the right column, select the teacher to receive the students.
(Optional) Use the “To Grade” drop-down to promote students.
Click “Transfer Students” to complete the transfer.
The selected students will now appear in the receiving teacher’s roster.
Transferring Students as a District Administrator
Sign in to your MobyMax district administrator account.
Click “Students Roster” in the left navigation menu.
Click “Manage Roster.”
Select “Transfer Students to Other Teachers.”
(Optional) Select a different school using the drop-down menu.
Choose the student(s) and the receiving teacher(s).
(Optional) Promote students using the “To Grade” field.
Click “Transfer Students.”
The student accounts will now be listed in the new teacher’s roster.
Important Notes
Transferring a student moves their entire account, including progress data, to the new teacher.
If your school uses Clever or ClassLink, student transfers must be updated in your rostering platform to appear correctly in MobyMax.
