In alignment with standards for reading informational texts, Reading Skills Informational equips students with the skills to critically analyze complex informational texts. Through the module, students learn how to explain key ideas and details, comprehend the structure of informational texts, integrate knowledge and ideas, and effectively use evidence to support their points. Each lesson is designed to break down the standards into small, manageable skills, using animated "Teach Me" lessons and targeted practice problems.

Students will also be presented with Short Answer questions while working through Reading Skills Informational. This question type in MobyMax aims to assess a student's comprehension of a reading skill by prompting them to provide a written answer to a specific question. Teachers can assign a score to these questions, or they can be disabled in the teacher's settings as well.
