MobyMax placement tests provide teachers with valuable information to help guide their instruction and ensure that their students are mastering the necessary skills. The results of these tests can be analyzed in a wide variety of ways, giving teachers multiple avenues for understanding and addressing student needs.

Student placement test results can be accessed by:

  1. Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
  2. Click the “Curriculum” tab.
  3. Select the Mathematics, Language, or Foundational Reading button.
  4. Click on the “Scores” tab at the top of the page.
  5. Select the “Placement Test” link on the left sidebar.


Once teachers have selected a subject to view placement test data in, they will notice several links at the top of the page that can be used to analyze placement test data:

  • Snapshot: Displays the results of each student's most recent placement test.
  • Students: Compares results from the first and last test taken.
  • Tests: Allows teachers to view the results of each placement test taken by your students.

  3. Select a subject button under the “Placement Tests” section.


Once teachers have selected a subject to view placement test data in, they will notice both a Snapshot and Results tab at the top of the page:


The Snapshot tab displays the most recent placement test results for each student. By clicking on the grade level score located in the "Last Test Result" column, teachers can view a detailed breakdown of the standards the student has mastered and areas that require further practice.


The Results tab provides multiple ways to analyze placement test data through various different links located at the top of the page:

  • Progress: Enables tracking student progress over time.
  • Summary: Displays student mastery scores by grade level.
  • Standards: Enables the analysis of mastery at the class level and the identification of which students have or have not mastered each standard.
  • Tests: Allows for viewing the results of each placement test taken by students.
