When students see the same skills repeating in MobyMax, it's often caused by outdated information stored in their browser cache or a disruption in their MobyMax session. Below are steps you can take to resolve this issue and ensure a smooth experience with MobyMax.
Step 1: Clear the Browser Cache
Browsers store temporary versions of web pages in a "cache" to help pages load faster. However, an outdated cache can cause unexpected behavior—like skills repeating.
Action:
Clear the browser cache on the student’s device to ensure MobyMax loads the most current content.
See our cache clearing instructions here.
Step 2: Reset Browser Settings (Google Chrome)
Customized browser settings may interfere with how MobyMax functions.
To reset settings in Google Chrome:
Click the three vertical dots in the upper-right corner and select Settings.
Scroll down and select Reset settings from the left-hand menu.
Click Restore settings to their original defaults, then confirm with Reset settings.
Restart the device.
Step 3: Disable Browser Extensions
Extensions—such as ad blockers or accessibility tools—can interrupt key functions in MobyMax.
To manage extensions in Google Chrome:
Click the three vertical dots > More tools > Extensions.
Toggle off or remove any unnecessary extensions.
Restart Chrome and log in to MobyMax again.
Step 4: Always Log Out Properly
Students should log out of MobyMax after each session rather than simply closing the browser window or powering down the device. This ensures progress is saved accurately. Students can simply click on the "power button" icon located in the upper-right border of their student account to sign out.
Additional Tips
Stable Internet Connection: A weak or disrupted connection can interrupt session saving and cause skills to repeat.
Restart Devices: After clearing cache and resetting settings, restart the device to apply all changes.
Use a Supported Browser: We recommend the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari for the best experience.
