So what happens next?
Once your student has signed in to MobyMax for the first time, they can jump right into learning by clicking on a subject button. For certain subjects, such as Math, Language, Foundational Reading, Fact Fluency, and Vocabulary, students will begin with an adaptive placement test. If you're unsure which subject module to start with, we recommend having your students select one of these!
After the placement test is completed, MobyMax will automatically assign lessons to the student based on their areas where skill gaps have been identified. For subjects that do not have a placement test, students will begin working on skills that match their registered grade level or the grade level set in their subject settings. As a teacher, you have the option to manually assign skills to your students if you wish to provide additional support or challenge them further.
Teachers can also monitor the progress of students through advanced reporting and progress monitoring tools found in teacher accounts. To maximize progress, we recommend that students use MobyMax consistently for at least an hour each week in the subject(s) where you would like to see growth. However, we've heard from many teachers that even students who use MobyMax just once a week can experience significant improvement.
