MobyMax has introduced an exciting new feature that allows students to listen to curriculum text using cutting-edge text-to-speech technology. With our updated read-aloud feature, students can enjoy MobyMax skills and lessons in a more convenient way. This feature is especially beneficial for students who may struggle with reading or prefer to consume content in an auditory format.

Students can customize the speed and tone of the voice to their liking, which enhances their comprehension and engagement with the content. Teachers can easily enable the read-aloud feature with just a few clicks, making it an effortless way to cater to different learning styles in the classroom.

To adjust read aloud settings for your students:

  1. Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
  2. Select the "Tools" tab at the top of the page.
  3. Click the "Settings" button.
  4. Select the "Manage Sound Settings for all Modules" link under "Sound Settings."
  5. Click on the option under "Read Aloud" that suits the needs of your class. If you choose "Some modules" a new link will appear allowing you to select the modules you need.
  6. Select if students are able to choose a voice they want, or not under the "Voice" section.
  7. Use the toggle switch if you would like to turn on the word-by-word highlighting feature.
  8. Select “Save and Exit".


Students can customize their sound settings once enabled by:

  1. Sign in to your MobyMax teacher account.
  2. Click on the tab at the top of the page with books on it.
  3. Select a subject (i.e. Mathematics, Language, etc...) and begin working on a skill.
  4. Click on the three horizontal lines in the top left corner and select the "Sound" link.
  5. Adjust the voice speed, the type of voice, and if you want words to be highlighted as they are read aloud.
  6. Click on the "Save" button.


Note: MobyMax's read-aloud feature has not yet been implemented in all subject modules. As a result, students will not be able to use the feature in subjects where it has not yet been added.
